Experience

Gilberto is a financial advisor with over 30 years of experience in wealth management, private banking, and financial consulting. He currently serves as SVP and Wealth Management Advisor III at Amerant Investments, where he manages over $250 million in assets and generates more than $2.2 million in annual revenue. His career includes leadership roles at top institutions such as Amerant Bank, Mercantil Bank (formerly Commercebank FL), and Banco Mercantil in Venezuela.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, has completed postgraduate studies in Finance, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA. Gilberto is licensed with FINRA Series 7 and NASAA Series 66 and has advanced training in financial regulation, leadership, and risk management. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, he is known for his personalized approach, strong client commitment, and global perspective.
